Pete Dulin is the author of four books about food, beer, wine, and spirits. His most recent book is Expedition of Thirst: Exploring Breweries, Distilleries and Wineries Across Central Kansas and Missouri.
His other books include Kansas City Beer: A History of Brewing in the Heartland, KC Trail, and Last Bite: 100 Simple Recipes from Kansas City’s Best Chefs and Cooks.
Based in Kansas City, Missouri, he is a writer with 20 years of experience reporting on food, drink, business, and other subjects. His reporting has appeared in AFAR, Feast, Kansas City Magazine, KCUR, Startland News, Zócalo Public Square, The Kansas City Star, Hop Culture, and many other publications.
He founded and published Present Magazine, an online publication dedicated to reporting on food, drink, arts, culture, and community in Kansas City, from 2005-2011.
He was selected for the inaugural 2022 Critical Writing Initiative workshop sponsored by the Kansas Creative Arts and Industries Commission.
