Crafted For All

Write For Us

Thanks for your interest in writing for Crafted For All. We’re looking for thinkers and advocates who can educate, inspire, and challenge our community in ways that support our vision of an equitable and just craft beverage industry.

Please take some time to review the type of content we are looking for, topics we cover, our guidelines, and details about the submission process. We hope you find that we’re a fit for your next great idea!

What We Look For

We’re looking for contributions that are interesting, educational, well-researched, and nuanced. One of our biggest “wins” is when a reader finishes reading a post on our website and says to themselves, Wow! I’ve never thought about ________ in that way before.

You have an excellent chance of being published on our website if your contribution is:

  • Relevant to the topics and themes outlined below.
  • Backed by credible research, case studies, expert sources, empirical data, or other types of sound evidence when making claims.
  • Unpublished (even on your personal blog) and written with a compelling voice and point of view.
  • Includes original photography, graphics, data visualizations, or clear guidance on what kinds of visual imagery might compliment the post.
  • 800 – 2500 words in length.
  • Well written and free of spelling and grammatical errors.

Topics We Cover

Our audience consists of leaders and team members from craft beverage producers, members of allied trades, professional association staff and boards, nonprofit partners, and passionate consumer enthusiasts who are personally and professionally invested in inclusion, equity, sustainability, and justice. They come to the Crafted For All website in search of best practices, examples they can use as models, inspiration and thought leadership, and “dispatches from the front” of the broader effort to make craft beverage a more inclusive, equitable, sustainable, and just industry.

While we aim to publish content about a variety of topics related to craft beverage (beer, wine, cider, spirits, cannabis), contributions should be connected to one of the following themes:

  • Nuanced, solution-oriented commentary on current issues.
  • Deep dives on the intersection of craft beverage and underrepresented or traditionally marginalized cultures.
  • Business and management policy and practice.
  • Environmental sustainability and stewardship.
  • Physical and psychological wellbeing and safety.
  • Interviews with or profiles of compelling individuals in craft beverage.
  • Industry event previews or recaps with a unique point of view.

While clickable content rules the day, we aspire to provide a library of substantive resources for our visitors and subscribers. For that reason, we do not publish listicles, collections of hacks, or summaries of tips and tricks. And while our team members are all craft beverage lovers, we do not publish product reviews or contributions that are strictly about “the liquid.”

Submission Guidelines

You may submit a rough draft, a partial draft, or a short pitch (a paragraph or two summarizing your contribution) paired with an outline. However, the more complete your submission is, the better.

  • Please do not plagiarize, violate copyright when using images, or fail to give credit to others for their ideas.
  • Please follow AP style guidelines.
  • Once published on Crafted For All, you cannot publish your contribution anywhere else (even on your own personal blog).
  • Contributions will be promoted on Crafted For All social media channels (Facebook, Linked In, Instagram) as well as the Crafted For All email newsletter. You make also share and promote the link to your contribution on your own social media accounts.
  • We prefer submissions as Google Documents so that editors can provide feedback directly within your draft.
  • We pay $200 – $500 per post based on length and level of research required.
  • Please do not send press releases.
