Richmond, VA • Dec. 4, 2020 — Crafted For All, LLC is excited to announce a new partnership with the Brewers Association (BA) that will help promote greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in the craft brewing industry. Effective immediately, J Jackson-Beckham, Ph.D., founder and principal of Crafted For All, expands her relationship with the BA, becoming its new Equity and Inclusion Partner. “We are pleased to have J. join us on a full time basis to help us lead the craft brewing community and increase the Brewers Association’s acumen, resources, and support in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space,” said Bob Pease, president and CEO, Brewers Association.
Jackson-Beckham was the Brewers Association’s first-ever Diversity Ambassador when hired for the role in 2018. As Diversity Ambassador, she has created educational resources for BA members, served on the association’s Diversity Committee, and delivered keynote addresses and seminars for state brewers guilds.
As Equity and Inclusion Partner, Jackson-Beckham transitions to a full-time equivalent role within the association, where she will manage a dedicated Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) department. The newly established department will focus on both internal and external initiatives, including but not limited to implementing an equity scorecard, managing a new mentorship program, reinstating the event grant program, and delivering regular content via blogs and webinars. In her role as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Ambassador for the association, Jackson-Beckham will also conduct six virtual state guild speaking engagements. In addition, access to many of Crafted For All’s educational and consulting products will become benefits of BA membership.
“When you’re trying to accomplish something complex and ambitious like changing the culture of an industry, you have to ask yourself, ‘what are the best tools available to accomplish this job?’” said J Jackson-Beckham. “What are the most valuable resources we have to bring to bear? Who’s going to support these efforts? For me, the Brewers Association checks all those boxes and then some.”
Crafted For All will remain an independent business entity and continue to provide consulting support and learning experiences to select clients in the craft beer, cider, wine, spirits, and cannibeverage industries. The firm’s partnership with the Brewers Association provides support and stability for Crafted For All after a period of robust growth in 2020. In November, Crafted For All announced the hire of Louis Livingston-Garcia as its Communication and Administrative Support Specialist.
“I want to be part of getting this right,” Jackson-Beckham said, noting the challenges organizations often face when seeking to be more inclusive and equitable. “2021 is going to be an exciting year for the Brewers Association and the craft beer community, with regard to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
